Crawfordsville Ind June 17 – Claude R. Saidla, 54 years old, a WWI veteran died yesterday at his home in Auburn, Ala. A native of Montgomery County and a graduate of Wabash College, Mr. Saidla was the son of William and Mary RIne Saidla. He was a member of the Methodist Church, Scottish Rite and Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Surviving are the widow, the former Miss Anna M. Jones, Lapel; three sons, Claude R, Saidla, Jr; Robert Saidla and John Saidla, all of Auburn, Ala; a daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Plummer also of Auburn; two brothers, LE Saidla, Hempstead, Long Island NY and Glen E. Saidla, Crawfordsville, and a sister, Mrs. Leslie Widener, also of Crawfordsville. Funeral services and burial will be at Auburn. - kbz
